ESPN 360

ESPN360 is going to carry almost half of this years event final tables.  Schedule and events being covered here..  I am fortunate that my ISP is carried by ESPN360, so I should be able to watch some of the FT's, if they get some good lineups.  

In the latest dissappointment around the BBT4, I came 2nd last night in the Riverchasers.  I was down about 3:1 HU, when I decided to gamble with 44, and my opponent drew A7, and he promptly hit his Ace on the Turn, and soyonara me.  

4 more BBT4 tournys left, so we'll see what happens, it anything.

BBT4 home strech

BBT4 is coming down to the final two weeks.  I've played a bunch of them, and have nothing to show for my play.  I came one river card away from wining one,  as stated in the post, 'that's poker'.

I went through the HH's to id key hands where I was making mistakes and poor decisions, and was shaking my head at how many premium hands went down in flames on key big pot hands, many times.  Didn't matter if it was preflop with AA/KK or post flop with made straights/flushes only to get outdrawned by crazy river hitting cards.  I suppose 'running bad' can be in the context of a series, as I've been doing ok otherwise.  Case in point, 3 hands into the Brit game on Sunday, I get bounced on this:

Last night for the Riverchasers, I didn't play the first hour, in an effort to 'shake up the lineup'.

Sadly, same ole result.

So unless I pull something out these last couple of weeks, I'll be shut out for the first time since the series started.  It's certainly a bit frustrating, but at least it's cool to play with everyone in our circle, and great to see a few of our fellow bloggers have a chance to win a seat and play in the big dance.   

Of course, once the BBT ends, the attendance in our blogger series will go down, as it usually does after the end of the BBT.  That is something that I always hope doesn't happen, but as we have seen, pretty much has been the case every time.  

It would be nice if in future BBT events, a small portion of the prizes could be reserve for those who are 'regulars' in the weekly Blogger tournaments.  It may provide the incentive to help keep attendance up, while still keeping the main prizes open to all.  Just a thought.

HU with Frenchy

This one really made me do a 'little dance'.   I've blogged in the past about how terrible the german players are, but in the context of Full ring NLH games.  Heads up however, the French are by a HUGE margin, the absolute worst players, hands down, no doubt about it.  

I keep very explicit details on most of the HU players at my levels, and if I did a sort, the French would line up very nicely, with maybe one or two exceptions.  

This guy above, is the absolute classic Frenchy.  So put him on your fish finder list, because even if you simply possess common sense, you will win.  No trickery required!  

By the way, the 'manner' in which they play, almost makes me think there is someone over there selling video's like Infomercials, because the one thing that is consistent, is the "Moves" that they make.  

For example, in a 3 bet preflop pot, they will lead if OOP with a min bet.  LOL....it's like taking candy from a baby!  Too freaking funny!  They do it EVERY SINGLE TIME!  LOL!

Ok, so back to this frenchy.....the one thing you have to look out for when playing this kind of player, is their ability to weild the one weapon this kind of player posseses....namely, the major league SUCKOUT MOVE!   Which as you all know, there is no freaking defense for.  So he had pulled out some major lucksakery on me, and he had me down to about 200 chips.  

I managed to get back to almost even, when I got the ducks above.   He had me covered by about 200 chips or so.  I was on the button, and had raised it 2x.  He calls, and I flop the world.  So, when they are not leading for the minimum, they are shoving........so I did my little dance, after LMFA all over the floor!    

Oh yeah, before you think I'm being somewhat 'unsportsmanlike' with this post, let me tell you, after he sucked out for the 4th or 5th time, he starts the trash talking.  Which of course, in it of itself is funny....given their mastery of the english language.  So, that made it all the more sweeter.

Bartley's turn...again

I really like playing the 'pro's' HU.  Especially early on when HU tables were introduced at FullTilt, I played Andy Bloch, Jennifer Harman, Eric Lindgren, Phil Gordon, & Mike the Mouth from the old school.  It's also the reason I got stuck deep in the hole, because I was completely sucked in by the 'play with the pro's'.  I recall playing Harman HU HORSE for $500, if that is any indication of what an uber 'pescadito' I was.  But hec, it was fun, and I've gotten a little better since the old days, and I don't play $500 HU anymore either!  LOL!  

Now of course, every Tom,Dick & Harry is a 'pro' at FT.  I remember when Bartley was just one of us, and he use to post on the old REC Poker boards.  He's obviously done quite well for himself, however, I think next to Michael Craig, I've busted him the most, since becoming a FT pro. Yesterday was no exception:

So another shirt is on the way......I should probably start thinking about opening up my own Annex for FT!
