I played and won a $8 MTT Satellite into FTOPS #1, which played last night. They got 5600+ runners, which for a midweek late night tourney is pretty good. Sadly, I busted about 40 or so short of the $, when I overshoved AK over a very active Donk, who called with 44. He hit a set on the flop, so not even a sweat for me.
I left the tourney lobby open, as I noticed that at the time I went to bed, that MuckDucks who is already an FTOPS champ, and a Cardrunners instructor, was leading the tournament, and wanted to see how he did. He has a video on Cardrunners, where he replays his FTOPS win, I think a 4 part series. Certainly worth watching.
BTW -
LJ posted a while back on how you can get free membership to both Cardrunners and SoxPoker by just enrolling here:
At any rate, when I checked the lobby, I noticed that they were five handed at the final table, so I fired it up, and the guys were in the midst of using the new 'Lets Make a Deal' feature.
And here's what they finally agreed to:
I think it's a great feature, and one that I neglected (luckily) to consider when
I won the 14K earlier this week.
All in all, I'm quite happy with the features in this latest realease. I was pretty pissed that I had to do my own troubleshooting, as I had huge lag and crash problems. I found that in some cases, (and I don't know why, but this didn't happen on my desktop, just my laptop), the install program puts proxy/scripts in the Internet Lan Connections. Once I unchecked all the garbage, my client was back to working as usual. I still get the graphics issues, but they seem to have diminished.
I may have to put in for a job with them, if for no other reason than to manage their development group, and teach them a thing or two about proper Quality Control!
