Easy come...Easy go
I got off to hot start with these 2 hands:
I got real happy....that unfortunately got turned around in a heart beat.....these hands happened...back to back!
Gonna be out of town for a couple of days, so don't think I'll make the blonkaments this week....but you should! Check links at right for info.

Another flame out
I played the nightly tournaments, including the 32k, 6k rebuy, 22k rebuy and the 50/50. The rebuys have been something new I've been playing, I really like the deep stack play post rebuy period. At one point, I was top 10 in chips in all but the 32K (which I busted out early), and thought I'd have a pretty big night. However, I got coolered in both the rebuys, which left just the 50/50.
In that tournament, I was able to triple up very early, and had the chip lead within the first 15min. Interestingly, I stayed in the top 10 for the first 3 hours, even right up to the bubble. It was really nice to raise every hand, and build an extra 15k in chips with no confrontations.
At one point, I had 95k in chips, and the guy in 2nd had 40k. I knew that would all change, but I was at least hoping to stay at the top, and keep adding to my stack. But unfortunately, I had my great run of cards early, and in the mid stage of the tourny. In the late stage, and when it counts most, I couldn't buy a hand. I had to go with the all mighty Q8 & A9 just to stay afloat. These occured when we were down to 2 tables:
Finally, with 11 left, and on the shortstack, I decided to go with K9sooted:
Seemed like a bit loose for my opponent to call 3/4 of this stack with KJ, but w/e, just frustrated I suppose.
Many thank to Bayne and JD for the rail support!

Sunday Million
I played a few of those $7 shootouts to the million, but ultimately got in via my favorite crack like superturbo's. Luckily, I only invested half the buyin, so I still came out ahead.
The Million hit it's guarantee, and got about 2400 runners. I played my usual game, got deep, cashed but once again got bit by a very cold deck the last couple of hours. I checked through the history, and if there ever is a variation of poker where if your starting hands are 83,84,72,92,93....(you get the picture) is the nuts, I'm going to win a lot of tourneys!
I finally went with a small pocket pair over an early position raiser who had TT, and that was it.

1 Win, a 3rd, a 6th and another deep run
I played 3 of these 45 player SNG's yesterdays, and cashed in all 3. the best being a 1st.
I also tackled the nightly tourny's, crashed in the 32K & 28k, but made a nice run in the 50/50:
Today FullTilt is running the $1 Million guarantee. I'm not going to have a chance to run too many satty's today, so it will be a game time decision on whether I buyin or not.
Good luck to all of you who decide to play today!

Cool Poker Art by Teo Alfonso
As you can all see, I've got a new banner for my blog. This is the artistry and design of Teo Alfonso. I had stumbled on to his '2 Black aces' design on the internet, which I thought was very cool & creative, and put it up as my banner. I did not know however that it was a copyrighted design, and luckily have been able to square things with Teo. On top of it all, he's been gracious enough to provide me with the new design, which I think is way cool, very creative, and I definitely want to give him big props!
So do go check out his site, you may find something that you like, as he has many different categories of design. I especially like his abstract work, and have already had my wife perusing, so I'm sure we will be sending some business his way.
I have also linked him up on my sidebar for future easy access.
Thanks again Teo for everything, you are a way cool & talented artist!

Misclick gone good
Played the 50/50 last night, the Mookie, the 32k & the Blogger cash game. I also ran a few satty's on Stars, all from my little laptop. What that means, is that screens are popping up all over the place. What it also means, is if I get distracted, accidents can happen. This one turned out ok:
Being that I actually flopped a hand, I tried to naturally take control and led out, when I flopped the flush draw. SB slowplayed his set, and paid the price for it. This was in the 50/50, and help me get up early in the tournament.
Unfortunately, as is usually the theme, I couldn't close the deal. I finished 132 out of 1062. I can't blame stupid FT this time, I just made a bone-headed play.
Basically, I was to the left of the tourny chip leader, sitting with about 24k in chips. CL raises preflop to 4x, and I smooth call with Siegfried and Roy. I put the CL on Bullets. Flop comes ace high, he min bets. Obviously he has bullets. Then, in a moment of complete an utter insanity, I reraised him all-in. Seriously, it was an out of body experience. I was literally beside myself!!! And I was saying "WTF R U DOING?????!!!!!" Maybe it's because it was late. Maybe I was just tired. Maybe I just suck. Of course, he had bullets. MOOOOOB!!!!
Their was also a blogger cash game going on last name, actually I think 2 tables. I played for about 80 hands, and didn't pick up a single playable hand. I tried to pick some spots, limp some spots, but those guys weren't have any part of my weak play. At any rate, I dropped some bucks, and quit to concentrate on the tournament. Early on in the cash game, KuroKitty put a sick beat on Gnome, as all the money when in on a 9 high flop.
Ok, thats all for now. Riverchasers tonight....among other things. :-)

Dirty Laundry starts airing on November 9
David 'Chino' Reem, one of the November 9 Main Event final table players, might have some explaining to do.
"Eight years ago in Broward County, Rheem was convicted of dealing in stolen property and burglary, both felonies, as well as larceny and possession of marijuana, court records show. He was sentenced to four months jail time and 30 months probation.
He also failed to appear in court on a 2003 misdemeanor trespassing charge in Hollywood, according to state criminal records, leading to a court order for his arrest. The warrant for his arrest remains active."
I'm sure this is not the kinda hype WSOP officials were hoping for....or maybe it is??? After all, isn't bad press still good press? or something like that!

Skillz win
Nothing like a little Razz to kick you right in the junkage!
In other news, I cleared my mid-year bonus mid month!
Those Happy hours helped quite a bit...nice to get this done. Don't know about the rest of you, but it's a nagging feeling to know you have to clear this.....luckily the BR grew + added Rakeback is always a nice benny.

Another 32K deep finish
WSOP Main Event Final Table set
The Final table is set:
Official November Nine Chip Counts and Seat Assignments
On November 9th, 2008, the following nine players will return to the felt with 21 minutes and 50 seconds left in level 33:
Dennis Phillips - 26,295,000
Craig Marquis - 10,210,000
Ylon Schwartz - 12,525,000
Scott Montgomery - 19,690,000
Darus Suharto - 12,520,000
David 'Chino' Rheem - 10,230,000
Ivan Demidov - 24,400,000
Kelly Kim - 2,620,000
Peter Eastgate - 18,375,000
These 9 lucky 'unknowns' will get to take home 900K each for 9th place $$$, but will have to wait until November to play out the final table. Actually, I'm sure in the coming months each one of these guy's 'story' will come out, but for now, Scott Montgomery is the only one I recognize, since he was at the final table of the LA Poker Classic, won by Phil Ivey this year.
Most of you know that the good Dr was on absolute fire with his writing for this years WSOP. His entry yesterday regarding Tiffany Michelle was classic stuff.
He stated that she was poker's hottest commodity right now. That statement was spot on. He couldn't have said it better. That was the story. Had she made the final 9, we would have had all hell breaking lose for the next 3 months, and perhaps Harrah's decision to postpone the final table, would have been seen as genius. But as you all know by now, she didn't make it. Now it's wait and see what they can do with the so call hype, for the remaining 9 unknown. The only back story that may make this interesting, is if this takes a Soprano like turn. We shall have to wait and see.
But frankly, I've lost interest. Again as Pauly stated, the air was completely let out of the balloon when "Hot Chips" busted. That was the story.

Plane Tilt
So I had to go out of town this past week, and had the most annoying experience on my return flight, which was at the complete and opposite polar end of my outbound flight. I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered an upgrade, which I happily took. Unfortunately, accepting that must be the equivalent of tripping the Fulltilt doom switch.
I was hoping beyond hope that I'd get the same offer on my return flight, but no luck. At first, my assistant had booked me in a middle seat, which is a big issue with me, but it was all that was available, since they limit seat selection online, especially when it's done at the last minute. However, I was checking throughout the day, and got lucky when a window seat became available, so I snagged it. Boy was that a mistake.
I get on the plane, and take my seat....and as usual, I'm always checking out the people as they check to see where they will be sitting. I just hate getting stuck next to anyone who's going to make the plane ride 'unpleasant'. This was a plane which had 3 seats on each side. So I was very delighted when a very slender young women took the middle seat next to me, and my anxiety was over. OR SO I THOUGHT!
So here comes this fairly large man (I'm being nice, ok!), and to my horror, he looks at the young girl sitting next to me, and says
" Excuse me Miss, I believe you are in my seat".
R U FUCKING KIDDING ME?????????
Who in their right fucking mind does that???????
Thats a 1 0uter on the fucking river!!!!.....which sent me into immediate:
TILT TILT TILT TILT TILT TILT TILT!!!!!!!
Holy crap, this was the sickest beat I've taken .... EVER! Not only was this guy large, but he stunk too! AND he had a bag from Burger King and a 20 ounce coke, which now I'm thinking, is going to be a challenge for this guy to eat.......no fucking way! He plopped down like he was the fucking king of Sudan, completely oblivious of both me an the girl, and promptly started to chow down on his meal. Needless to say, I was miserable the entire flight, as the king 'overflowed' onto my space, and didn't ever bat an eye about it!
And by the way fucking American piece of shit Airlines....it sure would have been nice if you people would train your flight attendants....so that when this situation comes up, and the King asks for the seat belt extender....that in some way this tips them off that they are going to have a couple of very UNHAPPY travelers on there hand!!!
I have never in my life been on complete and utter Life Monkey Tilt!!!!!!

Sunday cash's
I was able to satellite myself into both the Sunday Brawl & the 750K today. In the latter, I wound up spending about $140, but in the Brawl I got in on a rebuy satty for $20 bucks, which is all I invested. I've taken an approach lately to not rebuy at the start like I use to do, and see if I can just double up early. It's actually not a bad way to go, since many are gambling, and if you sit tight, you can eventually get a hand to double up with. Unlike my performances in the Donkament, where I basically do just go all in all the time, this approach seems to be working lately, so I am going to stick with it. Hoy also final tabled this event, and we both got seats. Here's the last hand, which I think was well played by both myself and the guy with the KK to knock out the shorty:
In the brawl, I played pretty well, but in the end, I just couldn't pick up any hands. I hate committing the rest of my stack with total garbage, but in the end, I had no choice but to go with some rag. I did cash, so a small profit to brag about, I suppose:
I also satellited into the 750k. As I have said before, although I have no major poker ambitions, I would like to someday win a big online tournament. I have knocked on the door several times, and tonight was another one of those close but no cigar runs:
76th of 3644......sigh. And the worst of it is that I went out to oldest trick in the book. Folded to the button who min-raised me. Having odd's I called in the BB with K7, and flop came 7 high. I moved in, he called with KK and that was that. Man was I po'd at myself. I even remember telling myself that he probably had a big hand, but yet like some freaking pre-programmed autobot I just went with it.
Oh well....I do want to thank Corron and LJ for dropping in and giving me some support, that is always appreciated.

2nd in 10K Rebuy
I arrived at the final table 3rd in chips:
I made it heads up, and after some thought decided I was ahead on this hand, and went with it...he had exactly what I thought, but I just couldn't hold:
I suppose the good news is I only had $20 invested....didn't even take the add-on. I know 2nd is good and all, but just so close to the win......argh!
